This is a newly created and varied role covering varying aspects of office and staffing support for the company. It is uniquely structured to have a good balance of administration and co-ordination functions, along with people orientated functions – the best of both worlds.

We have an extremely exciting opportunity for a highly organised people’s person to join our rapidly growing team.  This is a newly created and varied role covering varying aspects of office and staffing support for the company.  It is uniquely structured to have a good balance of administration and co-ordination functions, along with people orientated functions – the best of both worlds.

Reporting to the CEO, this is a stand-alone role which aims to provide support to all aspects of working at Climate Action, including HR support & administration, facilities management, internal events co-ordination, travel arrangements, communications, company administration and just generally being the glue that keeps us all together!

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Administrative support for the onboarding & termination of staff
  • Day-to-day HR support to the business on performance management, employee relations, salary/bonus planning, and employee engagement.
  • Manage the HR Database and employee folders
  • Completion of all HR administration
  • Payroll & pension scheme administration
  • Consulting with external advisors where necessary to ensure that policies comply with all relevant law and regulations.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
  • Ensuring daily smooth functioning of the office and act as liaison between the business and WeWork for lease renewal, equipment maintenance or queries with supplies, invoices and billing.
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment; ordering as needed within agreed budget
  • Ensure staff have suitable IT equipment and telecoms
  • Review, update and ensure the renewal of the organisations insurance policies
  • Circulating daily information relating to sales team phone times and other KPI led information to enhance accountability and sales team performance.
  • Organise quarterly offsite team building events and Christmas party
  • Identify and implement ways to enhance smooth running of business and reduction of management time.

About the Candidate:

The candidate should be able to highlight the following skills, interests and experience: 

  • Proven  experience in a HR or Office Management role with exposure to a wide range of HR functions within a small to medium business
  • Solid understanding of company required policies and procedures
  • Able to use own initiative and be solutions driven
  • Natural relationship builder with a high-level of discretion and confidentially.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong and enthusiastic work ethic
  • Confident communication skills
  • A positive, solution-driven, proactive, can-do attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail in both written and verbal communication
  • An interest in Climate Change, sustainability or in working in a for purpose, mission led company.
  • Experience in securing B Corp certification.

Two important selection criteria are highlighted: 

  • This is an office based role, you will be required to work at the company offices 5 days a week
  • We need to fill this vacancy urgently so you need to be able to start immediately
